Murder, Plainly Written

Sadie Lynch just wanted a fresh start in Amish Country. Now she’s the prime suspect in a murder.

In Murder, Plainly Written, award-winning author Mindy Steele introduces The Plain Order Ink Society, a group of Amish writers who turn their talents to solving local mysteries.

Inheriting her late Amish aunt’s candle shop gives Sadie a chance to leave a stalled writing career behind. But as an outsider running a Plain business, winning customers is difficult, especially when the local minister wants her to sell up.

A friendship with Wanda, an Amish woman with a secret passion for writing, offers new hope. Wanda agrees to help with the shop in exchange for writing advice. Then the grand reopening takes a deadly turn: the minister is found dead behind the counter.

With Sadie the only suspect, Wanda and the Plain Order Ink Society set out to uncover the truth. In this quiet community, secrets burn brighter than candle flames, and nothing is quite as simple as it seems.

An intriguing read for fans of Amish fiction, small-community mysteries and unlikely friendships.
